Points Plus Pay – flights
If you’re a Qantas Frequent Flyer member, you can use your Qantas Points to book flights and add any extras at jetstar.com (Australia or New Zealand).
You can use the combination of points and cash that suits you best. After selecting your preferred fares, you can use the Points Plus Pay slider on the payment page to change the mix of cash and points.
Any part of your jetstar.com booking redeemed in points will be payment fee free. If your entire booking is made with Qantas Points, there will be no payment fee. If you use another payment method as well as points, you may incur a payment fee unless you use PayID, Jetstar voucher or Jetstar Gift card.
Points Plus Pay – Flights can be used on any Jetstar flight originating in Australia or New Zealand^, where the fare price is listed in Australian or New Zealand dollars and seats are available. Points Plus Pay – Flights are not available for Classic Flight Rewards bookings.

Credit, debit or charge card
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, UnionPay, JCB and UATP cards, including credit cards, debit cards and charge cards. A Payment Fee will apply for all bookings except for airport transactions (see below).
UnionPay
You can also pay for your Jetstar flights using UnionPay. When you choose this option, you'll be redirected to the UnionPay website. A Payment Fee will apply.
Card foreign transaction fee
Your credit or debit card payments may be processed outside the country where you purchased your booking. The bank that issued your card may identify your credit or debit card payment as a foreign transaction and charge you a fee. For further information, please contact your bank.
PayPal
PayPal is available if your (first) flight is operated by Jetstar Airways (JQ) or Jetstar Asia (3K). If you choose to pay with PayPal, you'll be redirected to the PayPal website. Once there, you will have the choice of paying for your booking in full or paying in four instalments with PayPal Pay in 4. PayPal Pay in 4 is only available to Australian residents aged 18+ with an Australian PayPal account, for purchases from AUD $30-$2,000 (learn more). A Payment Fee will apply.
PayID
PayID allows customers of eligible banks to pay securely via their internet/mobile banking account. When you choose to pay using PayID, you'll be redirected to the PayID payment page, where a unique email address will be generated for you. Once you have it, simply follow these easy steps:
- Copy your unique PayID email address. Please complete your booking within 15 minutes of receiving the unique PayID email or the PayID will expire.
- Sign in to your bank’s mobile app or online banking platform and select Pay, Pay Anyone or Pay Somebody (wording will vary according to your bank)
- Choose ‘Pay by email address’ and paste in your unique PayID
- Enter your payment amount, confirm and submit payment. PayID payments must be made in Australian Dollars (AUD) and must match your booking total.
- Please do not close your banking platform until your payment is submitted.
- Return to your Jetstar booking confirmation page.
Your account-to-account transfer will take place in near real-time*. No Payment Fee applies for PayID payments on jetstar.com, the Jetstar mobile website or the Jetstar app.
*Some financial institutions may have internal policies that may delay the processing of payments. Your bank may also have daily limits for PayID transactions.
Jetstar voucher
Vouchers issued by Jetstar can be used for part or full payment of your fare. No Payment Fee applies. Depending on the voucher, they can be:
- Single use: these can be used only once and any unused portion of the value of a voucher will be forfeited; or
- Multi-use: these can be used over multiple bookings

If there's a remaining balance, you must pay this on jetstar.com or the Jetstar app with another voucher, gift card, PayID or by credit, debit or charge card. Jetstar voucher, Jetstar Gift Card and PayID payments are fee-free, however a Payment Fee will apply to credit, debit and charge cards.
Afterpay
Afterpay is available for bookings made online at jetstar.com for all Jetstar Airways (JQ) Australian domestic and international flights where you see the Afterpay logo and a price breakdown at the bottom of the page. If you choose this payment method, you’ll need to book at least 48 hours before your first departing flight. A 1.5% booking fee applies.
The total cost of your booking must not exceed AUD $3000 (including the 1.5% payment fee). Afterpay will assess your individual eligibility to make a purchase up to this amount.
Payments are made directly to Afterpay, not Jetstar. To use Afterpay, you must be an Australian resident over the age of 18, have a current Australian credit or debit card and have a valid and verifiable ID.

Zip
Zip is available for all Jetstar Airways (JQ) Australian domestic and international flights booked on jetstar.com at least 24 hours before the first departing flight on your booking.
Zip can also be used for split payments. Pay for your booking with a combination of Zip and another payment method, such as vouchers, gift cards, or Qantas points.
If you choose to pay for your booking with Zip, a 1.6% Jetstar payment fee will apply. Eligibility criteria, fees, charges and interest may apply to purchases made using Zip. Learn more here

Alipay
If you have a bank account issued in mainland China, you can pay for your Jetstar flights using Alipay opens in new window. When you choose this option, you'll be redirected to the Alipay site or app. A Payment Fee will apply.
Alipay is available in the following currencies: Chinese yuan (CNY), US dollars (USD), Australian dollars (AUD), Hong Kong dollars (HKD), Singapore dollars (SGD) and Japanese yen (JPY).
Apple Pay
You can use Apple Pay to make payments for Jetstar bookings using the wallet on your Apple device. Apple Pay is available for Jetstar Airways (JQ) flights made in Australian dollars (AUD). When you choose the Apple Pay option on the payments page, you’ll need to select the card type linked to your Apple Pay account – current options are Mastercard and Visa debit and credit cards, and American Express. When you have chosen the card type you would like to use, and ‘Continue with Apple Pay’ to make your payment, the Payment Fee will display on the Apple Pay payment screen. The Payment Fee amount will depend on the card type you choose, for details see Fees and charges.
Jetstar Gift Card
You can use Jetstar Gift Cards to make purchases at jetstar.com up to the initial or remaining Card value. No Payment Fee applies.
To make a purchase for an amount exceeding the Card value or the remaining Card value; you must pay the balance on jetstar.com with another Gift Card, voucher, PayID or by credit, debit or charge card. Jetstar voucher, Jetstar Gift Card and PayID payments are fee-free, however a Payment Fee will apply to credit card, debit and charge cards.
No change will be given for any remaining Card value, however the value can be used in whole or part for future purchases until the Card expires.
Airport payments
To reduce contact and help you get on your way quicker, we have gone cashless at all Australian and New Zealand airports. We accept card and contactless payments (all of which are fee-free). Remember, you can pre-purchase baggage and other flight-related products via Manage Booking on jetstar.com before you fly.
In-flight purchases
To make in-flight purchases on any Jetstar Airways (JQ) flight, you’ll need a physical credit card or a digital wallet. These can be used to buy food and drinks on board, or to pre-purchase meals, snacks or an in-flight voucher. In-flight payment options may vary for Jetstar Asia (3K) and Jetstar Japan (GK). * Points Plus Pay - Flights are available on any flight with a Qantas (QF) or Jetstar (JQ) flight number or selected partner airlines when travelling on a Qantas fare and booking on qantas.com. As long as there is a seat available for sale, you can book a Points Plus Pay - Flight. The points required for a Points Plus Pay - Flight includes taxes, fees and carrier charges (except any local airport fees or charges collected at the time of check-in) are subject to change and are quoted at the time of booking.
