The domestic terminal at Brisbane Airport is undergoing major upgrades that we expect to be finished by the end of 2025. As construction has taken off, we’ve:
- Moved to a new temporary check-in and bag-drop facility
- Moved to a new security screening point
- Installed new bag tag kiosks – these let you quickly print your bag tag, but please note that they no longer offer the option to check in or print your boarding pass.
- Switched to online check-in
Here are a few steps to help you prepare for your journey:
- Please check in via the Jetstar app or our website before arriving and save your digital boarding pass to your phone. Online check-in opens 48 hours before your flight and closes 40 minutes before departure.
- It’s important to arrive at the airport as early as possible as getting to the security screening point and boarding gate will take longer than you’re used to.
- If you’ve checked in online and are:
- Travelling with carry-on baggage only: head straight to the new security screening point and your boarding gate
- Travelling with checked baggage: head to our new temporary check-in/bag-drop facility and follow the steps to check in your baggage
- If you’re unable to check in online or have requested Specific Assistance: head straight to our new temporary check-in/bag-drop facility and speak to our airport team who will be available to help if needed.
Please read on for further info about the upgrades. Thanks for your patience!
Where to go at the domestic terminal
Here’s a map of where you can find the new temporary check-in/bag drop facility and security screening point.
Remember, you can head straight to the security screening point if you have carry-on baggage only and your boarding pass.
If you’re getting dropped off by car, we recommend using the first Qantas passenger drop-off zone.
Travelling with checked baggage
Follow the steps below to check in your baggage at one of our bag tag kiosks.
- Make sure you’ve checked in via the Jetstar app or our website before arriving and have saved your digital boarding pass to your phone
- Scan your mobile boarding pass or PDF at a bag tag kiosk to print your bag tags. To help with the scanning process, don’t forget to increase your phone's screen brightness to 100%
- Attach the tag to the side of your bag and head to the bag-drop area. If you have multiple bags to check in, please put a tag on each bag
- Go to the bag-drop area to check in your tagged baggage
- Head to the new security screening point and your boarding gate
Can’t check in online?
We understand not everyone will be able to check in online. If you can’t check in online, head straight to our new temporary check-in facility at the airport and our staff will be available to help check you in on the day.
For online check-in exceptions, see Online check-in.
