Our Ocean View Studios are the perfect base for couples or friends looking to explore Tasmania’s East Coast. Each of the eight studios offers a stunning outlook over Friendly Beaches and the Tasman Sea –a truly unique view that you won’t find anywhere else on the Freycinet Peninsula.
Cosy and contemporary, you’ll find everything you need for a short stay. The shower room is equipped with underfloor heating to ensure maximum comfort. With the king size bed, you can be sure of a restful sleep before waking up to the sight and sound of the ocean – a perfect way to start your day.

Ideal for couples, our recently refurbished Hazards View Retreats are nestled into the side of Mt Paul. The serene wilderness setting and sweeping views of the Hazards mountain range allow you to fully immerse yourself in the beautiful natural environment of Tasmania’s East Coast.
Sustainably designed and filled with an abundance of natural light, the two retreats have just undergone a major renovation. A fully equipped kitchen now offers guests the chance to cook their own meals, and the newly fitted bathroom is equipped with underfloor heating to ensure maximum comfort.
A contemporary bedroom with king size bed provides a stunning outlook across the Freycinet Peninsula, and the expansive outdoor deck presents a chance to sit and unwind with a glass of local wine, or listen to the chorus of birdsong from the surrounding forest.

To find Freycinet Resort (previously known as Freycinet Retreat), take the C302 Coles Bay Road turning off the A3 Tasman Highway, (signposted Coles Bay and Freycinet National Park). After 18km take a left turning onto a gravel road, signposted “Freycinet Retreat”. Go through the gate (it is not locked) and proceed along this gravel road for approximately 2km, ignoring a driveway to the left, until you pass through a gate. Shortly after you arrive in the property, you will come to a fork in the road. Please turn right and follow the signs through the property for a further 2kms, to our reception. Please observe the speed limit of 30km/h once you leave the tarmac.If for some reason the Reception is not manned, we apologise for this in advance, and will leave a note in the box marked "check ins" next to the front door. This will give you directions and instructions on how to access your accommodation. If you have any problems please call 0408504414.
