For over 100 years The Shamrock has presided majestically over the heart of Bendigo. Its five stories of grandeur offer entertainment, great dining and accommodation in the true 'Spirit of Bendigo'.
While the exterior and the great dimensions of the public rooms are pure 19th century, there is a distinctively Australian feel to its wide encircling verandah - an ideal spot to watch the sunset and enjoy a pre-dinner drink.
Your accommodation choices at The Shamrock ranges from suites with comfortable private lounge areas and spa baths, to standard rooms, all are tastefully furnished, with fine quality linen, and include fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, colour TV (majority LCD), radio, ISD/STD phone, alarm clock and personally controlled air conditioning and heating. When you venture out into the grand lounges, you can make you entrance either down the grand staircase, or more discreetly in the modern lift. If you have arrived by car, you will also appreciate the adjacent secure, undercover multi storey car-park available to guests.
The Shamrock café is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and the ambience is smart casual. Head chef, Greg Syle's menu features fresh local produce combined with some fantastic mediterranean style fare and some of the old favourites. Combined with a selection of the great wines from both the Bendigo region and further abounds, and some of Bendigo's best customer service, the cafe is guaranteed to meet all your expectations.
