Freeman on Ford

This room was featured in the Great Outdoors show with Jennifer Hawkins in 2005. It is opulently decorated with gold cupid light fittings giving it a pretty and romantic feel. The bed in this room is generally set as a Super King bed but can be made into Super King singles.

An upstairs Victorian room with modern comforts that has an exquisite colour palette. Ken Done, prominent artist, has complimented the rooms heritage colour scheme. The unique blue ceiling and bronze light fittings, together with the original ceiling rose, create a romantic ambiance. The exquisite French Queen parquetry bed with matching Armoire and gold decorative trim reflect the room’s sophistication. It has an ensuite with coordinating tessellated tiles, pure wool carpet and all the modern features are hidden so that the historical integrity remains intact. The owners have been fastidious in their decorative skills to keep the room true to the Victorian theme.

This room features two windows facing the streets of Beechworth. It has stunning Victorian colours blending superbly with the gold trimmed swag curtains. The room has original deep Victorian ceiling cornices and ceiling rose. Guests have commented that the room looks like the Victorian rooms at the Windsor Hotel. Ironically, Freeman on Ford has been featured with the Windsor Hotel in Barry Stone's book, "Great Australian Historic Hotels". Mr. Stone suggests the building's Victorian architecture is one of the finest in Australia. It "represents commercial architecture at its finest".

This opulent large bedroom has its own entrance to the outdoor pool verandah. It has stunning bed linen and an exquisite King sized bed with intricate silver trims. It has a marble fire surround, granite hearth and coordinating marble ensuite. The room is fresh and light with a breathtaking lounge room next door. It has pure wool carpet and its own kitchenette and AUSTAR with large television. It is decorated in a classical and sophisticated theme. The ornate floor to ceiling hand carved windows are a statement in themselves. Simply stunning!

The ornate King size bed and co-ordinated bedsides scream out "Luxury, luxury and more luxury!" We believe this is the most stunning bedroom in North East Victoria. This room reeks of opulence and is the largest bedroom at Freeman on Ford. No expense has been spared, the ensuite features floor to ceiling marble and quality fittings. There is an original hand carved bed, exquisite mirror and double hung, stain glassed windows.

Separate from the main building this room is cosy but superbly comfortable.
