If you have not made your New Year's Eve countdown plans yet, you’re at the right place. For one night only, STAR ISLAND presents Singapore’s largest drone show performance with 500 drones completely synchronised with spectacular fireworks, light displays and exciting show elements.

Featuring Singapore’s largest synchronised drone show performance to accompany the other dynamic show elements of STAR ISLAND, STAR ISLAND SINGAPORE COUNTDOWN EDITION 2019-2020, in conjunction with Marina Bay Singapore Countdown 2020, is set to transform The Float @ Marina Bay into a whole new imaginary universe on December 31, 2019.

Here’s everything you need to know about this explosive 90-minute fireworks show.

1. It will feature a brand new story

Centred around a new story, 2019: A SPACE ODYSSEY, visitors of STAR ISLAND will be transported to a mysterious parallel galaxy and experience the magic of an immersive and futuristic Hanabi entertainment show.

Travel through space across six chapters: Ceremony, Another Earth, Galaxy Party, Gravity, Microcosmos and the Grand Finale. Each chapter is choreographed to a unique soundtrack delivered via 3D surround sound technology.

STAR ISLAND SINGAPORE is a jaw-droppingly stunning 90-minute fireworks show and countdown extravaganza.

“With new technology injected into the upcoming show, it’s a unique contemporary Hanabi experience where visitors will feel like they’re entering an out-of-this-world imaginary galaxy through a thrilling space adventure,” explains creative director Kenji Kohashi. “We hope the show will inspire them to dream and hope for the future as the nation opens a new chapter into 2020.”

2. Featuring 500 drones, this will be Singapore’s largest drone display ever

Spend the final hours of 2019 in the most epic way — with the brightest bouquet of fireworks!

Determined to create the best countdown show in Singapore, Kenji is taking on the mammoth task of choreographing 500 drones into the storyline. “It will be a daunting task but a sight to behold as technology and artistry converge to transport the audience into a brand new and exciting experience.”
