Jetstar offers BSP settlement in various markets for Travel Agents registered with Jetstar. Settling through BSP provides eligible trade partners the simplicity, control and convenience of this industry standard payment method.

Eligibility

To be eligible for BSP settlement, your agency must be located in one of the following markets where Jetstar is enrolled in the BSP, and must have GoStandard or GoGlobal IATA accreditation (from 04 December 2023, Jetstar no longer supports BSP settlement with GoLite accredited agents):

  • Australia
  • Cambodia
  • China - including Hong Kong SAR, Macau SAR and Taiwan
  • Indonesia
  • New Zealand
  • Malaysia
  • Philippines
  • Singapore
  • Thailand
  • Japan

Travel Agents must have a valid IATA number and be registered with Jetstar under this IATA number.

All trade partners who apply for Jetstar BSP settlement will be subject to verification checks by Jetstar. If approved, Jetstar will enable the agency to make BSP Cash payments through Jetstar’s Agent Hub, Call Centre, and API (API access requires separate Jetstar approval).

Settlement Process

Since 4th of December 2023 Jetstar changed the way we process IATA Billing and Settlement Plan (BSP) payments to better align with industry BSP standards. Jetstar has moved away from utilising Agency Debit Memos (ADMs) to collect BSP Cash payments.

Instead, fare and tax components of the booking are now reported under TKTT numbers. If ancillary products are purchased or fees are collected, those amounts will appear on Jetstar statements using EMDA or EMDS codes.

On the 4 December 2024 Jetstar will be moving away from Agency Credit Memo (ACM) to process refunds, instead we will utilise the IATA Financial Gateway (IFG) to process refunds in real time and will be visible on BSPLink.

Agents will continue to receive a BSP statement from IATA via BSP Link. This statement includes the document numbers raised by Jetstar and amounts charged.

For reconciliation, Jetstar will provide you a weekly IATA BSP Participant Billing Analysis statement detailing your Jetstar transactions for the week. This statement details:

  • Transaction Code (TKTT, EMDA or EMDS)
  • Jetstar Document number
  • Issue Date
  • Booking reference
  • Booking value
  • Passenger Name
  • Origin/Destination

Billing Cycle

Jetstar adheres to standard BSP reporting periods as per IATA BSP settlement calendar.
