These hotels and resorts around the region offer non-stop action and adventures that families will remember for a long time.

Singapore

Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore

Great for ages 1 to 12

Buds also has three themed activity rooms: a crafts room where the walls are the canvas, a music studio for future superstars, and a kid-friendly kitchen.

Shangri-La opens in new window’s Orchard Road outpost raises the bar for kids’ clubs everywhere with Buds, a sprawling 1,872m2 wonderland. The indoor area includes the Explorer Zone where children over four can conquer the “treacherous” terrain of a slide-filled volcano-themed area, bounce around in a colourful cavern made out of stretchy mesh, and boldly go where no kid has gone before in a “spaceship” lined with climbing nets. The tots can get in on the fun too in a play area called the Toddler Zone. The action continues outside where you’ll find a pirate ship-themed playground and a brand new swimming pool complete with water sprays.

The Ritz-Carlton Millenia

Great for ages: 4 to 12

The tent includes plush bedding, a night light and a Ritz Kids bag packed with goodies like a lion plush toy and a sketchbook with crayons.

For an extra SGD$100 on top of your room rate, the Kids Night Safari Adventure package lets your kids camp out in their own tent right next to your luxurious king-sized bed.

The adventure starts from the moment you check in. The kids are given special activity passports with a discovery map that points them to various spots in the hotel to collect animal stamps — once they’ve gotten all five, they can redeem a free scoop of ice cream at the hotel’s main restaurant Colony. One of the checkpoints is the Ritz Kids Playland where the little ones can romp around in an inflatable ball pit or play chef in the mini kitchen. While parental supervision is required, there are comfy sofas for you to curl up with a book.

There’s also an indoor clubhouse with a rope maze, climbing walls, reading nooks and a hands-on area where kids can learn to make everything from potpourri to friendship bracelets using a traditional Thai loom. From time to time, the trained staff will take the kids on short expeditions around the resort such as a culinary tour of the kitchen.
