Long Pavilion Balcony – 2nd to 4th December
From 2nd to 4th December, we will be rejuvenating the wooden floors on the Long Pavilion Balcony. This process will involve light sanding during the day and applying varnish overnight, allowing it to dry for the next day's use.
How this may impact your stay:
- You may experience intermittent noise between 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM daily from the sanding process.
- Access to the Long Pavilion Balcony will be temporarily blocked to ensure safety.
- Dining will be in front of the Bar and Lower Bar Balcony during this time, with normal offerings available to guests.
Lower Bar Balcony – 5th to 7th December
From 5th to 7th December, similar rejuvenation work will take place at the Lower Bar Balcony. During this period, sanding will occur during the day, and varnishing will be completed overnight.
How this may impact your stay:
- Sanding noise may be noticeable between 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM daily.
Library – 16th to 18th December
Finally, from 16th to 18th December, we will be rejuvenating the library floors. As with the other areas, sanding will occur during the day, followed by varnishing overnight.
How this may impact your stay:
- Noise from sanding may be heard between 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM daily.
- The library will be fully accessible again on the morning of 19th December.
