Kingfisher Bay Resort is located north of the Sunshine Coast and is the gateway to the World-Heritage wilderness of K'gari (Fraser Island), with its ancient rainforest, spectacular fresh-water lakes and famous 75 Mile Beach. The resort nestles among tree-covered dunes on the edge of the calm waters of the Great Sandy Strait along the island's western bay and is a paradise for boating, fishing, swimming, bushwalking, four-wheel driving and just enjoying the magnificent, natural beauty of K'gari.

Kingfisher Passenger and Vehicle Ferry has 4 main services to the resort each day from River Heads and return. This ferry has seating for 220 passengers on two decks with a fully licensed bar and snack food available. The journey takes approximately 50 minutes.
Passenger or 4WD vehicular ferry to Kingfisher Bay Resort, you are advised to arrive at the Mainland Reception River Heads to check-in 40 minutes prior to the ferry departure time. A courtesy shuttle from Mainland Reception to the jetty will leave 10 minutes prior to departure for our walk-on passengers. Self-drivers will be given further instruction by the Reception team
