Below are the common fees and charges that are applicable to Jetstar flights. To find out whether fees apply for your flight, please also refer to our Fare rules.
Fees do not apply if you are entitled to a refund or flight change due to a cancellation, delay or schedule change under the Conditions of Carriage or applicable law.

Note that all amounts must be paid in the currency in which you made (or Jetstar recorded) your original booking. These amounts may differ due to currency conversion.
Fees vary depending on your flight. When checking the table below note that short haul international flights are operated on an A320 aircraft.
Refund fee
This fee applies for all Business Max bookings and for Starter Max^ bundles booked through a partner airline or some travel agents. Contact your travel agent for more information.

Refund administration fee
Some fare types are non-refundable or only partially refundable, subject to our Conditions of Carriage or applicable law. However, if you choose not to travel, contact us to request a refund of certain third-party charges and Government taxes that may be included in your fare: excluding fuel and insurance surcharges. If you request a refund of these third-party charges and taxes, the following administration fee applies, unless otherwise exempted by applicable law. If this administration fee exceeds the amount of the available refund, no refund will be paid and you will not be charged an administration fee.

Change fee via jetstar.com (Manage booking) the Jetstar Contact Centre, General Sales Agent (GSA), or at the airport
Fee applies per, passenger per flight when you change the date or the time of your flights at Manage booking, by phone or online chat at jetstar.com, in person at a GSA, or at the airport service desk.*
This fee also applies when you make name changes to your booking through the Contact Centre by phone or online chat.
New bookings made on and from 14 November 2024
From 14 November 2024, the change fee amount will vary based on how far in advance of the original flight departure you make the change. If you make changes to your booking:
- From 30 days (inclusive of day 30) until the day of your original scheduled flight departure: you will be charged a higher fee
- More than 30 days in advance of your original flight departing: You will be charged a lower fee

Contact Centre booking fee
Applies per passenger, per flight when you make a new booking through phone or online chat.
If your original booking was made via jetstar.com, this fee also applies when you change the date or time of your flights, or your fare type through phone or online chat. In addition to this fee, you’ll also be charged the Jetstar Contact Centre change fee listed above.
Changes are always cheapest to make at Manage booking.

Contact Centre Ancillary Fee
Applies per passenger, per item, when you add baggage, seats, comfort packs, or in-flight entertainment to your booking through phone or online chat.
You can avoid this fee by purchasing what you need when you make your own booking at jetstar.com, or after you book at Manage Booking.
It’s cheapest to purchase checked baggage online when you book your flight.

Jetstar Asia (3K) wheelchair fee
Jetstar provides wheelchair and mobility assistance to passengers who require it. Wheelchair fees will apply for wheelchair requests (which are subject to availability), for international flights with Jetstar Asia (3K) from 28 March 2018.
