The domestic terminal at Brisbane Airport is undergoing a number of upgrades over the upcoming months. During this time there may be changes to how we get you on your way.

Please read on for an overview of the key changes - we’ll continue to update this page as soon as more info on the upgrades is available. Thanks for your patience!

Overview of the changes

Brisbane Airport is moving to online check-in for domestic flights. This will help you skip the queue and save time. See below for info on the key changes:

  • Airport kiosks: Will be replaced with new bag tag kiosks. These allow you to print your bag tags if you have checked baggage, but they no longer have the functionality to allow you to check in and print your boarding pass
  • Checking in: Where possible, we recommend you check in via the Jetstar app or our website, and download your mobile boarding pass before you arrive at the airport. Online check-in opens 48 hours before your flight and closes 40 minutes before departure
  • Checked baggage: To receive a baggage tag to check in your baggage, you will need to scan your mobile boarding pass at one of our new bag tag kiosks. To help with the scanning process, please ensure you increase your phone's screen brightness to 100%. For more information, see Travelling with checked baggage
  • Can’t check in online?

We understand that not everyone will be able to check in online. If you can’t check in online, our staff at Brisbane Airport will be available to help check you in on the day. For online check-in exceptions, see Online check-in.
